Ron is a fully qualified outdoor education teacher and holds the MLTB Summer and Winter Certificates, as well as the Mountain Instructors Certificate - the top instructors’ award. Ron has participated in several notable mountain climbing expeditions over the years, including Everest and Shishapangma in south central Tibet, both in 2007. In October 2008 he completed an expedition to climb Manaslu summit, the world’s eighth highest mountain.
